Christine Watson
I have lived in High Halstow for 21 years having lived in Essex beforehand, where my two sons still live.
Prior to retiring 16 years ago, I had worked for a several voluntary organisations. These included being the Director of Basildon, Billericay and Wickford Council for Voluntary Services and an Advocate for Medway & Swale Advocacy Partnerships. I have also been a volunteer for Essex Alcohol Services and Victim Support.
I have several hobbies such as reading, knitting, walking and eating out. I am also an ardent West Ham United fan (for my sins)
I really enjoy being a Parish Councillor and hope that the work that I do is of some use to the community.

Matt Wenham
Hi, I’m Matt, a Project Manager at Grain LNG Terminal, and I’ve lived in the local community for most of my life. With my children attending the local school, I am fully committed to making sure the Parish evolves and modernises to meet the needs of future generations. As a Parish Councillor, I am passionate about improving local facilities and protecting our natural environment, ensuring that our community remains sustainable and vibrant for years to come.
I was lucky enough to be co-opted onto the Parish Council in November 2023.
